PhiLSAT Schedule and Requirements
Note: PhiLSAT is no longer required. Please inquire directly from the law schools regarding their admission policies. Most law schools have their own Law Aptitude Examination (LAE).

PhiLSAT Schedule and Requirements: Testing Date and Registration Period
All aspiring law students must take the Philippine Law School Admission Test (PhiLSAT) as a requirement for admission to law school. Before you start with your PhiLSAT Prep, find out the PhiLSAT schedule and requirements. Make sure that you are eligible to apply. Prepare your documents, and register online as soon as possible.
The PhiLSAT is usually conducted twice a year — once in April and once in September.
The exam is usually conducted at the following test locations:
- Metro Manila
- Baguio
- Tuguegarao
- Cebu
- Bacolod
- Tacloban
- Davao
- Cagayan De Oro
PhiLSAT Schedule and Requirements: Qualifications
You may take the PhiLSAT if you are:
a) a graduate of a 4-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a duly recognized higher institution in the Philippines;
b) expecting to graduate from a 4-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a duly recognized higher institution in the Philippines at the end of the school year when the PhiLSAT will be administered; or
c) a graduate from a foreign higher education institution with a degree equivalent to a 4-year bachelor’s degree as certified by the Commission on Higher Education.
PhiLSAT Schedule and Requirements: Requirements for Online Registration
You need to prepare the following PhiLSAT requirements for online registration:
- a valid and current school ID or government-issued ID (or valid passport for applicants from foreign countries)
- a valid and working email account
- an unretouched digital photo
- must be 2″ x 2″
- must be colored
- must have a white background
- must have been taken within the past six months
- must be clear
- must show the face and shoulders only
- must match your appearance on the day of the test
- must be in a square aspect ratio
- must be at least 600 x 600 pixels
- must be 2MB or less
- must be in JPG or PNG format
PhiLSAT Schedule and Requirements: Steps for Online Registration
An applicant is required to register online. Here are the steps:
- Go to www.cem-inc.org.ph. Create an account.
- Fill out the registration form, and accomplish the Student Information Questionnaire.
- Choose the mode of payment (credit card or bank deposit).
- Pay the testing fee of PHP1,000 thru your preferred mode of payment on or before the deadline for registration.
- Wait for the email confirming registration and payment. The PhiLSAT ID form, which must be submitted on the day of the exam, will be included in the email.
- Print a copy of the PhiLSAT ID. Bring this on the day of the test.
PhiLSAT Schedule and Requirements: Payment of Testing Fee
All major credit cards are accepted. Bank payments, on the other hand, may be made thru any branch of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI). Note that the bank may charge a service charge between PHP30 to PHP50.
For bank payments, fill out the deposit/payment slip in accordance with the CEM’s instructions.
PhiLSAT Requirements for Online Registration: How to Edit the PhiLSAT ID
In case you need to make any changes to your PhiLSAT ID, you may do so during the registration period. Here are the steps:
- Go to www.cem-inc.org.ph.
- On the left sidebar, click “My Account” under “Online Options.”
- Log in to your account then click “Edit Registration.”
- After editing, you will receive a new PhilSAT ID.
- Print a copy of the updated PhiLSAT ID. Bring this on the day of the test.
Make sure the information you provide in your registration form and the Student Information Questionnaire is accurate.
